Chicago's live shows are reaching unprecedented territory. Even some of the members of the band, particularly those who've been there since the beginning, probably didn't think they'd still be going strong at this point. Yet when they take the stage to sing "Hard to Say I'm Sorry," you're going to feel those same goosebumps that you had long ago if you were able to see them live back in the day. One of the coolest things about this performance is that the band is still able to rock out. This is not your old-school tribute show with dudes past their prime. It's still very much "Chicago!" As mentioned, that vibe is still there.
The show in Highland Park, Illinois is a homecoming for the band. Some of the current members of the crew actually mention they recall seeing Chicago playing live at this venue. This connection makes the Saturday, July 5th show extra special. Not to mention the fact that songs like "If You Leave Me Now," and "You're The Inspiration" blend perfectly with the natural vibe that you get at this venue. If you find yourself just looking out into the sunset with Chicago providing the soundtrack, that might be the best daydream experience you'll ever have.
One of the greatest things about the Pavilion is that since it's not a massive venue, views of the stage are decent, even from the lawn. Really, finding the best spot inside the venue is more of a personal endeavor. What's more important to you? Being up close and personal with the band? Then, find a spot in that first section of the bleachers. Again, since the seats are elevated, you'll see the stage just fine from anywhere in the house.
Spots for this event promise to sell out rather fast. Knowing this, you'll want to make sure that you click the get tickets button real soon. Remember, access to this event starts at a cool $85.
