Michael Serafini first made his breakthrough in the Chicago scene in the height of the eighties working for a Berlin nightclub as a video jockey and remixer. With the support of close friends Terri Bristol and Ralphi Rosario, Michael Serafini began DJing regularly in the early nineties and took up a coveted spot at one of Chicago house’s most famous companies, Gramaphone Records. As his experience flourished, so did his reputation, later landing him a residency at Boom Boom Room which was the city’s longest-running house night. Fast forward to 2007 and the legendary Michael Serafini took over ownership of Gramaphone Records, which he’s still rocking today.
Meanwhile Garrett David is the vibrant heart of Smartbar’s wildly successful Queen! party, spending the past decade or so developing his signature style and unique ability to hypnotize the dance floor. His underground swag shines through his production, dropping lush and skittery tunes on major labels like Courtesy of Balance, Smallville, Residual, and his own imprint, Global Swing. Also joining the mix is Chicago’s Black Bearded Beauty Lucy Stoole and the anti-socialite party girl Nico. While Lucy Stoole is a Windy City-based drag performer and artist who is an Out 100 honoree and two-time Drag Queen of the Year, Nico brings high energy to the crowd, straight from the runway to the punk show.
