The Green Hill, Alabama-born guitarist, who played with the Drive By Truckers from 2001 until 2007, is regarded as one of the most sought-after musicians in the genre and has won four Grammy Awards.

Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit return to The Pavilion at Ravinia, With musicians primarily from the Muscle Shoals, Alabama, area, Isbell formed the 400 Unit, and the group released their debut album in 2009. They went on to win the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album, and Isbell won the Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song in 2017. Their second studio album, Here We Rest, includes "Alabama Pines," which was named the Americana Music Awards Song of the Year. After a successful year at the Grammys, where Isbell won Best American Roots Song for "Cast Iron Skillet" and the band took home Best Americana Album for 2023's Weathervanes, they will be performing at Ravinia.
Isbell has released his most recent album, Weathervanes. Isbell's formidable 400 Unit, who have earned a spot in the rock 'n' roll universe alongside the best backup bands—as potent and crucial to the narrative as The E Street Band or the Wailers—rolls thunderously on the record. As Isbell puts it, they create a lot of noise, and he is so at ease with them serving as the primary lens through which a large portion of the world is exposed to his art. Even though he can be reserved, when they are gone, he changes and becomes someone else that is only able to be in their company. He manages the whole intricate juggle when he plays a solo show.
When he wants to, he can switch between being the 400 Unit's guitar hero, conductor, and smiling admirer of his comrades' grandeur when he just wants to kick back and take in the music.
Special Guest - Alejandro Escovedo
Alejandro Escovedo announced the release of his new album Echo Dancing - which traces his identity as "a literate soul and true punk" (The New Yorker). The much awaited album is set to be released on March 29 through Yep Roc Records. Escovedo also unveiled a fiery remake of "Bury Me," a song he wrote in the early 1990s about what would happen if he "should die before he turns 43." It is quite cool that this version of the song is being released on his 73rd birthday.
Alejandro Escovedo has had "one of the most fascinating paths in music," according to NPR Music, and his latest album explores his unique musical life from the 1970s New York punk scene to his time as Austin's hometown hero.
